Parent Child Yoga

Description: Parent-Child yoga is a fun yoga-based movement class for children and caregivers. Classes are designed to develop body awareness, self regulation, sensory integration, muscle strength and coordination through a variety of playful yoga activities. Children will be introduced to yoga practice with songs, dance/movement, imaginative play, interactive yoga book readings and fun yoga props!

Caregivers and children should come in comfortable clothes ready to move. Props and mats are included. Please bring water and anything else you need to keep you & your little one comfortable. Children crawlers and up welcome!

When: Tuesdays 10:30-11:30 am. This is a 6 week session from July 10- August 14.

Cost: 6 weeks for $85, payment due at first class. This page is for registration only. Must register to attend.

Classes are run by a certified children’s yoga instructor who is also a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist.

About the Instructor: Sarah Brockway is a certified children’s yoga instructor through Karma Kids and is a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist. She currently teaches in the pediatric sequence at The Sage Colleges Occupational Therapy Program. Sarah developed and ran an integrative community based dance and movement group at Miami Children's Hospital for children with and without special needs. She loves incorporating her musical theater background into working with children and their families. Sarah found yoga and “Mommy and Me” classes to be a powerful occupation based tool in her own transition into motherhood and enjoys helping others make similar connections.
